Indication :

Contrainindication:

  • CHF (NYHA II-IV); established ischaemic heart disease, peripheral arterial disease &/or CV disease (including those who have recently undergone coronary artery bypass graft surgery or angioplasty); inadequately controlled HTN; active peptic ulceration or GI bleeding; severe hepatic dysfunction (Child-Pugh score >9), estimated CrCl <30 mL/min. Patient who have developed signs of asthma, acute rhinitis, nasal polyps, angioneurotic oedema or urticaria following the administration of acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs; inflammatory bowel disease. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn & adolescent <16 yr.

Adverse drugs reaction:  Oedema/fluid retention; dizziness; headache; HTN; GI disorders, diarrhoea, dyspepsia, epigastric discomfort, nausea; asthenia/fatigue, flu-like disease; increased ALT/AST.

Updating
Significant risk factors for CV events. Not a substitute for aspirin for CV prophylaxis. Monitor renal function in patient w/ preexisting significantly impaired renal function, uncompensated heart failure or cirrhosis. History of cardiac failure, left ventricular dysfunction or HTN & preexisting oedema from any other reason; GI perforation, ulcers & bleeding. Monitor BP. Patient w/ hepatic, renal or cardiac dysfunction; dehydration. May mask fever & other signs of inflammation or infection. Elderly.
